Captain Beefheart 1980 Closeup

This previously unpublished photograph of the Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band is from my personal archive of concert photography ranging from 1978 through 2019. I took this photo of Captain Beefheart at the Paradise Theater in Boston, MA, on December 5, 1980. Captain Beefheart gave his last live musical performance only 56 days after this photo was taken.
